The Department of Philosophy at Millat College, a prestigious constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar, was established in 1959. Departmental Rules
- A minimum of 75% attendance in lectures and departmental activities is mandatory to be eligible for appearing in final examinations, in accordance with university regulations.
- Students are required to return all borrowed items from the Departmental Library before collecting their admit cards for the final exams.
- Students are expected to actively engage in seminars, discussions, workshops, and other departmental events to enhance their understanding of philosophical concepts and practices.
- Students must participate in Class Tests, Pre-Tests, and Test Examinations as part of the department’s continuous evaluation system.
- In case of continuous absence for more than seven consecutive days, students must inform the Head of Department (HoD) in writing, providing valid reasons for their absence.
- Students must maintain discipline, respectful behavior, and uphold the dignity of the department. Any involvement in ragging, harassment, or disruptive behavior will be dealt with strictly.
- Students must adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of dishonesty in assignments, tests, or projects will lead to disciplinary actions.
- Students are expected to contribute to the cleanliness and upkeep of the department. Waste must be disposed of properly in the designated dustbins, and students must refrain from littering.
- Students must use the department’s facilities, including computers, audio-visual aids, and study materials, responsibly. Any damage to department property must be reported immediately.
