The Department of History at Millat College, a respected constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar, was established in 2011. Departmental Rules
- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in lectures and seminars to be eligible for the final examinations, as per university regulations.
- Students are required to return all borrowed items to the Departmental Library before collecting their admit cards for the final exams.
- Active participation in seminars, workshops, field visits, and study tours organized by the department is expected from all students to enhance learning and practical exposure.
- Students must appear for Class Tests, Pre-Tests, and Test Examinations as these are mandatory components for assessment and promotion.
- In case of continuous absence for more than seven consecutive days, students must notify the Head of Department (HoD) in writing, along with valid reasons.
- Students must maintain academic honesty in all forms of academic work. Plagiarism, cheating, and other dishonest practices will not be tolerated.
- Students are expected to maintain cleanliness in the department and campus by using designated dustbins and keeping the environment free from litter.
- Students must switch off lights, fans, and other electrical devices when leaving classrooms or department rooms to conserve energy.
- Students should exhibit respectful behavior towards faculty members, fellow students, and staff, fostering a healthy and productive academic environment.
- Students must conduct themselves with professionalism and integrity, refraining from ragging, harassment, or any disruptive behavior within the department.
